Dancer

Cecilia began her dance training at a young age at the YMCA and in dance studios in Charlotte, North Carolina. She went on to study dance and French at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she trained in ballet and modern styles and earned a Bachelor's in French. While in college, Cecilia attended intensives at American Dance Festival, the Martha Graham School, the Taylor School, and with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, all on scholarship. Upon her graduation, she entered professional training at the Martha Graham School, where she trained under Graham luminaries such as Peggy Lyman-Hayes, Elizabeth AuClair, Lone Larsen, Virginie Mécène, and Miki Orihara. At the Graham School, she performed iconic Graham repertory as well as contemporary works. She earned her Advanced Studies Certificate, with a concentration in Composition, in 2023.

Since her graduation from the Martha Graham School, Cecilia has performed professionally with the Martha Graham Center, the Merce Cunningham Trust, Jonah Bokaer Choreography, and Liz Gerring Dance Company, among others. She is proficient in a range of modern and postmodern styles, as well as classical ballet.
